The convention took place at the beautiful Twin Ponds Integrative Health Center in Breinigsville, PA and featured presentations by integrative medicine doctors and ayurvedic doctors on a variety of health and wellness topics.

“I wanted to extend a thank you for a wonderful weekend at the AAPNA convention. All the presentations were very educational and the food was delicious. The weekend affirmed my commitment to Ayurveda. As a nurse, I am hoping I will able to assist in lobbying for the licensure of Ayurvedic practitioners. Ayurveda can stand alone and it can also be a wonderful complement to Western medicine.”
– Suzanne, New York

– Elizabeth M. Stites, Ohio

“I attended the National Ayurveda Convention held at Twin Ponds Integrative Health Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania in October 2009. This conference which was organized by Dr. Shekhar Annambhotla, was a format for gaining a wealth of knowledge. The topics were timely and the presentations exceptionally well done. I learned a great deal and enjoyed myself too. Dr. Shekhar is a warm, enthusiastic person. He welcomes all with open arms. Although I only contacted him shortly before the conference he rearranged his schedule and gave me time to present my book Healing Depression the Mind-Body Way: creating happiness with meditation, yoga and ayurveda. I appreciated his flexibility and his welcoming attitude a great deal. If you wish to learn ancient knowledge which is highly applicable to the health needs of today’s people I wholeheartedly recommend joining this organization and attending future conferences.”

“The very first National Ayurveda Convention organized by AAPNA, from Oct. 30th – Nov. 1st, was a resounding success, beyond what we at AAPNA had dreamed of. And the one person behind this huge achievement was Dr. Shekhar. I heartily commend Dr. Shekhar for his untiring hard work, dedication, innovation, creativity and vision, for Ayurved. But for him, this Convention would not have turned out the way it did. He is truly a remarkable person and a true leading light of Ayurveda. I’d like to add that right from the presentations, to the food, the reception, arrangements, schedule adherence, the sponsors and everything was excellent and very professionally managed. There was a strong and positive feeling of being and connecting with the Ayurvedic Community. The presence of accomplished mainstream medical professionals and their passion for Ayurved was heartening and inspiring. Once again, I thank Dr. Shekhar for his devotion and dedication to Ayurved and look forward to more and many such successful Conventions in the future.”
– Dr. (Vaidya) Pratibha Shah, BAMS, MD-Ayurveda, MPH Student – Boston, MA

“National Ayurveda Convention was a great conference. All topics presented were very diverse and interesting. The audience was very receptive and interactive. The convention provided a platform for the participants and the attendees to network and share their ideas. The attendees and participants gelled so well, resulting in a formation of a very visible energy wave across all 3 days. Personally, I felt like this was a true Ayurvedic reunion, as not only the Vaidyas, but also the medical doctors, and more importantly, the entire audience demonstrated deep faith in Ayurveda. This was a testimony of a successful convention. My special Thanks to Dr. Shekhar Annambhotla for taking breathless efforts to plan, design, coordinate, collaborate and execute this phenomenal and gigantic event. The entire event logistics, administration and hospitality were also managed flawlessly.”
– Dr. (Vaidya) Ashlesha Raut, BAMS, MD-Ayurveda, Bloomington, IL

Speakers were very professional. Thanks for all your hard work. Everything was ON TIME! The three days of conference went so fast. Special thanks to Sudha bhabi for bringing in a very professional singer. The music was great! I can’t wait for the next conference to Miami, Florida. Food was great too!! Thanks!”
– Dr. (Vaidya) Jaya Daptardar, BAMS, MHA, Norwalk, Connecticut

“National Ayurveda Convention was very well-organized, with excellent presentations and very academic. All the presenters were very knowledgeable and the topics were well-selected. The venue was superb. Dr. Shekhar did an amazing job putting it together. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to present, and I had a great time. Looking forward to the upcoming conference.”
– Namaste, Richaritha Gundlapalli, MD, Chicago, IL

“This was the first time my husband and I went to an Ayurvedic convention. It was very interesting. First of all, the presenters were very knowledgeable in their fields. It was a pleasure to meet so many educated, cultured and wonderful people. I love that there are devoted people to introduce ayurveda more and more in the west as ayurveda has so much to teach us about how to live a life of balance and health. In general, I believe in a more integrated approach to health issues. An ayurveda convention like this one organized by Dr Shekhar is a wonderful way to learn, to become inspired, and to meet new and interesting people. Perhaps even to open a new door to our own health and wellbeing.”
